Amon Amarth, the famous Swedish melodic death metal band, returns to Italy for an exclusive concert on August 19, 2024, at the Arena Alpe Adria in Lignano Sabbiadoro, as part of the Lignano Sunset Festival. Led by the powerful Johan Hegg, Amon Amarth is known for their intense sound and Norse mythology-inspired themes.
The evening will not just be a concert, but a true metal event. Before Amon Amarth, the stage will feature Insomnium, a Finnish band presenting their new album “Anno 1696,” and Kanonenfieber, an emerging German black/death metal group.
Amon Amarth, formed in 1988 and renamed in 1992 in homage to J.R.R. Tolkien, has released 10 studio albums, including “The Avenger” and “The Crusher” with the hit “Masters of War.” Their latest works include “Berserker” (2019) and “The Great Heathen Army” (2022). They are renowned for their energetic live performances.
